Transmittal Notice

The following interim policies have been issued by the Office of the 
President to meet the requirements of Regents' Resolution SP-2 
regarding University employment.  After inserting these sections in 
Volume I of your department's Academic Personnel Manual, please post 
this transmittal notice or route it to persons who should be aware of
policy in these areas.

If any pages are missing from this transmittal, contact Irene Fecht, 
Chancellor's Office (752-9745 or ilfecht@ucdavis.edu).  Questions 
regarding policy or procedure may be directed to the Office of the 
Provost, 752-2070.

1.   Policy 035, Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination in 
     Employment, effective 1/1/96.

     Replace Policy 035 and Appendices B-1 and B-2, dated 7/1/93; 
     RETAIN Appendix A, dated 7/1/93.

2.   Policy 036, Employment, effective 1/1/96.

     New policy; insert following Appendix A of APM-035.
