Requires consultation with the fire department when equipment states "Home Use Only;" removes requirement that electrical supplies and equipment must be purchased on a Purchase Requisition; requires built-in overload protection for extension cords with more than one outlet; requires surge protectors to have an indicator light; allows surge protectors to have 15 foot cords or up to 25 foot cords with approval of the fire department; exempts power strips permanently installed on a wall and hard wired into the electrical system; clarifies that the floor, walls, beneath, and three feet to the sides of electrical circuit panels must be clear; requires retractable cord reels to be fully unreeled when in use; clarifies appropriate use of cords rated "indoor use" and "outdoor use."

Section 380-15, Staff Complaints of Discrimination; Exhibit A, Complaint Form; 12/21/09
Major revision; updates definition of discrimination and provides definition of harassment; updates units responsible for handling complaints to the Early Resolution Discrimination Coordinator and Compliance Director for the Davis campus, and Department of Equal Employment Opportunity for UCDHS; updates procedures for reviewing complaints of discrimination to use either early resolution or formal investigation depending on the facts alleged; makes department heads, managers, and supervisors responsible for contacting either the Early Resolution Discrimination Coordinator or Department of Equal Employment Opportunity when receiving complaints of discrimination, and consulting before taking any remedial action; updates references.
