The attached UCD Policy & Procedure Manual sections have been approved by the appropriate vice chancellor and by the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. After inserting these sections in your manual, please annotate the Table of Contents to reflect the changes, then post or circulate this transmittal notice so employees will be aware of these policies. SUPERSEDES: Section 100-15, dated 4/10/94. PURPOSE: Provides updated organization charts for the University of California and the UC Office of the President. 2. TRANSMITTED: Section 200-51, Naming Properties, Programs, and Facilities. SUPERSEDES: Section 200-51, dated 3/30/94. PURPOSE: Provides for naming for an ongoing fund-raising campaign, so long as donors are informed that final approval is reserved by The Regents, Office of the President, or the Chancellor, as appropriate; updates procedures, including preliminary review by Council of Deans and Vice Chancellors regarding ad hoc membership to the Naming Board; editorial revisions. 3. TRANSMITTED: Section 270-05, Campus Organizations, and Exhibit A. SUPERSEDES: Section 270-05 and Exhibit A, dated 3/16/91. PURPOSE: Clarifies that organizations and their members must comply with University policy and standards of conduct (Exhibit A); states that sanctions do not limit or modify other University policies or agreements that apply to individual students or employees; updates references; updates unit names and examples of organizations; updates standards of conduct consistent with Universitywide policy. 4. TRANSMITTED: Section 280-15, Campus-Based Student Fees. SUPERSEDES: New section. PURPOSE: Outlines policy and procedures that apply to campus-based compulsory and voluntary student fees, including establishment, change, or elimination of such fees and the allowable uses of those fees. 5. TRANSMITTED: Section 310-15, Mail Services, and Exhibits A and B. SUPERSEDES: Section 310-15 and Exhibits A and B, dated 1/6/92. PURPOSE: Reflects changes in hours of operation, delivery schedules, and services; specifies $5.00 fee for Special Messenger Service; details UPS shipment and package weight requirements; updates references; editorial revisions for clarity. 6. TRANSMITTED: Section 330-55, Departmental Cashiering Operations, and Exhibits A-C. SUPERSEDES: Section 330-55 and Exhibits A-C, dated 10/23/90. PURPOSE: Redefines "cash"; updates the list of major cashiering stations; deletes "special cashiering station," consistent with revisions to Universitywide policy; deletes specific information regarding mail remittances; permits cashing of University checks payable to an individual; requires police escort for deposits in excess of $3,000 (raised from $1,000); requires change funds over $10,000 to be kept in dual custody; updates unit names; updates references; updates forms; editorial revisions for clarity. 7.
