Personnel Policies for Staff Members

About the PPSM

The Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) Manual includes Universitywide policies and UC Davis policies and procedures. Universitywide policies are developed and issued by the UC Office of the President (UCOP). The UC Davis policies and procedures are developed by the Office of Human Resources and used in concert with applicable UC policies. Section numbers for UC Davis policies and procedures are preceded by "UCD."

The PPSM is divided into the following sections:

Separation Actions
Complaint Resolution
UC Appendix I--Selected Presidential Policies
UC Appendix II--Personnel Policies for Senior Managers

The PPSM is a public document. The online version of the Universitywide policies, maintained by UCOP, are available at the UCOP Web site. The online version of the UCD policies and procedures is maintained by the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost. The online and the paper versions of the PPSM are available in the Peter J. Shields Library and the Blaisdell Medical Library. Electronic and paper copies are also available in vice chancellors' and deans' offices, and may be available in department offices.
