82.A.  GENERAL

Note 1--Compendium.  A compendium of regulations on Conflict of Interest is published as part of Business & Finance Bulletin G-39.  It is on the Web at http://www.ucop.edu/ucophome/policies/bfb/g39.html.

Note 2--Procedures.  The campus procedures are in Policy & Procedure Manual Section 380-16.  The UCDHS procedures are in Hospital Policies & Procedures Manual Section 1824.

Note 3--Conflict of Interest Coordinator.  The campus coordinator is located in the Office of Campus Counsel. The UCDHS coordinator is located in the UCDHS Compliance Office.

82.E.  FINANCIAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Note 1--Conflict of Interest Codes.  The Codes are on the Web at http://www.ucop.edu/ogc/coi/coitoc.html.

Note 2--List of Designated Officials.  The Conflict of Interest Coordinator makes a list of officials who must file annual financial statements.  The list is on the Web at http://ucop.edu/ogc/coi/ucda.html.

Note 3--Vacancy Listings for a Designated Official.  A vacancy listing for a designated official must give notice of the financial disclosure requirements.  The following language may be used:  "Under the provisions of the Political Reform Act of 1974, the successful candidate will be required to file a Statement of Economic Interests."

Note 4--Hire or Separation of a Designated Official.  When a designated official is hired or separated, the Conflict of Interest Coordinator must be notified.  The employing department does this for Professional and Support Staff.  The Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor--Human Resources for Managers and Senior Professionals.  The Offices of the Chancellor and Provost do this for Senior Managers.
